Nancy Peterson Potter, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 29, 2018, at her home.
Nancy was born August 12, 1954, in Rigby, Idaho, to Harold Eugene Peterson and Ruth Campbell Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. She also attended business school in Boise, Idaho.
On November 10, 1981, she married Merle Lynn Potter in Rigby, Idaho. To this union were born four children, Paul, Tracy, Brandy, and Wendy. Nancy and Merle made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Nancy worked as a secretary for Bonneville County.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, riding motorcycles, reading, crafting, quilting, and crocheting.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Merle Potter of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Paul (Melissa) Potter of St. Anthony, ID; daughter, Tracy (Lenny) Chapman of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Brandy (Luke) Price of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Wendy (Clarissa) Potter of Beale AFB, CA; sisters, Linda (Lester) Allen of Idaho Falls, ID, Marilyn (Ron) Bump of Blackfoot, ID, and Peggy (Russ) Bloxham of Rigby, ID; and brothers, Fred (Sharon) Peterson of Deerfield Beach, FL, Larry Peterson of Middleton, ID, Harold (Venus) Peterson of WA, Lyle (Marietta) Peterson of Rigby, ID; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth Peterson; brother, Robert Peterson; and father-in-law, Roger Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Grant Campbell officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
