MOORINGSPORT, LA - Graveside services for Johnny Lee Wakeland will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2007, at Evans-Richie Cemetery, Vivian, LA. Officiating will be Rev. David Womack.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.

Johnny was born December 8, 1938 in Houston, TX and passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a Commercial Insulation Installer.

His wife, Mary Jane Broussard Wakeland, brothers, Billy Wakeland, Tom Wakeland, Homer Clay and Roscoe Clay, and sisters, Gypsy Patterson and Irene Madeley, preceded Johnny in death. Survivors are his wife, June Farrar Wakeland of Mooringsport, LA; daughters, Madelene Plumlee and husband, Perry of Mooringsport, LA and Selisa McClain and husband, Chris of Carthage, TX; stepdaughter, Kathy Duda and husband, Nick of Killen, AL; stepsons, Dwayne Farrar of Lillie, LA and Don Farrar of Diamond Head, MS; grandchildren, Amanda Smith and husband, Kenny, John Wakeland and wife, Sheena, Sommer McClain and Alesha Carpenter and husband, Scotty; great grandchildren, Mariann Cure, Johnathan Wakeland and Brigett Smith; sisters Dolly Dickey of Oil City, LA and Midge Statham of Bossier City, LA; and brother, Robert Wakeland of Sour Lake, TX.

The family extends a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, especially Jessica and Robin and to Rev. Larry Bass for your love and support to Johnny and his family.
