James Edward Crabb, 75, of Bloomfield, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Friday May 4, 2007 at his residence. Born October 22, 1931 in Corning, Arkansas, he was the son of James Alvin and Martha Melvina (Chandler) Crabb Duncan. He was a construction worker for Weddle Brothers and Superior Building in Bloomington. He was a member of the Laborer and Hod - carriers union Local 741, the Holy Name Catholic Church, and was a Korean War veteran in the United States Army. Surviving relatives include: his wife Mary Ann (Quillen) Crabb of Bloomfield, whom he married on October 22, 1954; one son, James Eric Crabb and his wife jackie of Bloomfield; three daughters, Beverly Miller of Greenwood, Lynn Gabbard and her husband Joe of Benton, Louisiana, and Mary Carol Todd Bloomfield; one brother, Grover Duncan Jr. of Bloomfield; three sisters, Beatrice Bowers and her husband Joe of Bloomfield, Barbara Rogers of Bloomfield, and Joyce Muse of Bloomfield; 16 grandchildren, 17 great, grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, Evelyn Marie in 1958, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday May 7, 2007 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield with Father Michael Madden officiating. Graveside services will be in Dugger cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 hour prior to services Monday at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH In Bloomfield.Rosary services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Military services by American Legion Post 196 Bloomfield will be conducted at the cemetery.
