Born November 13, 1924 in Peoria to Ralph Edwin and Emma (Gilham) Schraub, he married Donna Mae Hahn on April 20, 1946 in Bartonville. She died May 20, 2001 in Pekin. He later married Mary S. (Marchano) Arnold on May 3, 2004. She died December 11, 2013 in Washington. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Tristin Snider and one sister, Eva June Lishman.
Surviving are two sons, Rodney A. Schraub and Charles R. (Joyce) Schraub, Jr., both of Pekin; five grandchildren, Kenny Johnson, Joshua Schraub, Jennifer (Montrey) Murdock, Jamie (Tracy) Hartley all of Pekin and Angie (Buddy) Liggett of Tremont; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Bud had worked out of the Bricklayers Local 6 in Peoria, retiring in 1997 after 42 years of service.
He was a former member of Pekin Moose Family Center #916. Pop enjoyed roller skating, ice skating, playing darts and bowling, especially at Roxy’s Lanes.
Pop was a member of Pekin First Church of God in Pekin.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Kim Bacon will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
