Candace "Can Can" Williams

March 22, 1994 - September 30, 2018

Candace Michelle Williams, known to many as “Can-Can,” was born March 22, 1994 and left this Earthly world September 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Glen Williams, of Alamo, TN and her maternal grandmother, Doris Wagenknecht, of St. Augustine, FL.

Candace is survived by her loving parents, Mark and Lisa Williams, of Bells, TN; a sister, Kristy Beaird (Joe) and nieces, Leah Kate and Avery Beaird, of Halls, TN; grandmother, Pat Williams (Don Laster) of Maury City, TN; grandfather, Richard Wagenknecht, of St. Augustine, FL; best friend, Makenzie Nolen Acosta, of Bells, TN; and “second mama,” Kisha Bumpus, of Clarksville, TN.

Candace graduated from Crockett County High School in 2012 and received her cosmetology certification from Arnold’s Beauty School in 2013. Candace was a licensed cosmetologist at Polished Salon in Jackson, TN.  She loved doing her own hair and nails as well as making her clients look their best. Candace had a gift of always seeing the good in people. She had friends from all walks of life. She did not care who you were or your history, as long as she liked you then you were considered a friend. Candace adored her nieces, Leah Kate and Avery. She loved spending time with them and just having fun! Can-Can lived life to the fullest and had the sweetest free spirit. In honoring Candace’s memory, we encourage you to make the most of each day and enjoy this life just as Candace has!

Funeral service for Candace will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Maury City, TN. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Maury City, TN.

4 dead after wreck in Crockett County, THP confirms

September 30, 2018

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirms four people were killed after an early morning wreck.

Officials with the THP say the wreck happened just before 7 a.m. Sunday near the Haywood-Crockett county line.

State Route 76 eastbound in Crockett county was blocked off until around 3 p.m. as officers investigated the scene.

Officers say a car struck a tree and caught fire with four victims inside.

The THP  is confirming the victims as 25-year-old John David Tart, 25-year-old Dallas Wear, 24-year-old Candace Williams and 26-year-old Jose Vega.

Officers confirm the victims died in the crash.
