Mr. Phillip Wade Garrett, age 68, died Friday, September 28, 2018 in Pontotoc County, MS. He was born January 4, 1950 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Buford and Thelma Louise Garrett. He was a 1968 graduate of Westwood High School in Memphis, TN and was self-employed as a cabinet maker all his adult working life. Phillip married Elizabeth L. Maynard nineteen years ago in Water Valley, MS on November 22, 1998. They spent the almost twenty years of marriage in Munford, TN, before moving to Sherman, MS eleven months ago. He was a devout follower of Jesus and a member of The Orchard Church. A memorial service celebrating Phillip's life will be at 5 PM, Monday, October 1, 2018 at The Orchard Church with Will Rambo and Mike Gibson officiating. Visitation will be Today from 4 to 5 today. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Maynard Garrett of Sherman; his children, Christopher Garrett of Nashville, TN, and Brandy Garrett Anderson of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren, Gage Christopher Garrett and Cameron Garrett Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sherry Garrett Cox.
