A. Emery Phinney was known as an artist and photographer. He had a studio in Jackson, New Hampshire where he produced many hand-colored scenic images of the region. He was the son of Percy P. Phinney and Jemima Rebecca Proctor Phinney. His wives were Florence Edna Mears Phinney and Mabel A. Phinney. He has one son, Ellsworth E. Phinney.
