Jackie Kenneth Woods, age 65, of Lenoir went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his residence. He was born on February 21, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Raymond "Vaughn" and Ollie Sanders Woods. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Woods.
Mr. Woods owned and operated his own backhoe service for over 39 years. He was also a member of Green Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Debra Hicks Woods of the home; sons, Jesse L. Woods and wife April, Joshua K. Woods and wife Keesha both of Lenoir, and Dr. Joel N. Woods and Dr. Angela Petracca of Minnesota; brother, James Woods and wife Geraldine of Boone; sister, Carolyn Aldridge and husband Leon of Hudson; and nine grandchildren, Zoe M. Woods, Adrienne L. Woods, Kendal Bryant, Preston Shell, Iseral Hendrix, Dominiq Helton, Xavier Helton, Chloe Helton, and Stephanie Shatley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Green Mountain Baptist Church, 2077 Piney Grove Circle, Lenoir, NC 28645, conducted by Reverend Lane Hamby and Reverend Don Church. Burial will follow at Green Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Green Mountain Baptist Church from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
