Mrs. Dorothy Mae “Mrs. Dottie” Jennings, 88, of Sweetwater, Texas (formerly of Loraine, Texas), passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Sweetwater Healthcare.

Mrs. Jennings was born on August 25, 1930 in Cameron, Texas to parents Mr. Maggie and Mrs. Edna (McKinney) Banks. Mrs. Dottie and late husband Mr. Booker T. Jennings loved to dance. Other people would stop dancing to watch the beautiful couple dance. She is loved and will be missed. She married Booker T. Jennings July 14, 1949 in Loraine, TX. She was a Homemaker and a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Loraine. She had lived in Sweetwater since 1979.

In Gods’ Care, she is survived by her twelve Children: Ernestine Williams, Marvin “Whoopie” Jennings, Barbara Nickerson, Daisy Jennings, Lorie Garrett, Billy Jennings, Sharon Jennings, Arnettia Jennings, Ada Jennings, Ocie Jennings, Icy Zoch, and Hope Jennings; and five Siblings: Sisters: Geneva Dalbert of Anson, TX and Nelda Williams of Odessa, TX, Brothers: Alvin Banks of Dayton, TX, Charles Banks of San Antonio, TX, and Willie Banks of Odessa, TX A Host of Grand Children, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Dorothy Mae “Mrs. Dottie” Jennings is preceded in death by her late husband Mr. Booker T. Jennings, daughters Alene Clayton and Liasor Jennings, and parents Mr. Maggie and Mrs. Edna (McKinney) Banks.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10 A.M., McCoy Chapel of Memories, 401 East Third Street, Sweetwater, TX 79556 with Rev. Homer Reddic officiating. Burial to follow at Sweetwater Cemetery, 2000 W Alabama Street, Sweetwater, TX 79556. A family visitation and Wake will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday evening at McCoy Funeral Home. A Reception will follow after the services at Greater Zion Baptist Church 1112 W Ave B, Sweetwater, TX 79556.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Eric Jennings, Chris Jennings, Joshua Jennings, Royce Jennings, George Jennings, Paul Saddler, Jr.
