Mark Alan Gillis, age 55, a resident of DeQuincy, Louisiana, passed away on September 29, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Jolene (Doyle) Gillis, daughter, Kendra Ewing of DeQuincy, along with ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Thomas of DeQuincy, Syble Nelson of Duncan Oklahoma, Rebecca Frazier and husband, James of DeQuincy and Renee Gillis of Ragley, La and his sister- in- law, Greta Gillis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois James Gillis and Wanda (Metcalf) Gillis, and one brother, Marlin Gillis.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5 – 8 P.M. and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M. The visitation and funeral will be held at Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 West Fourth Street, DeQuincy, La. with interment to follow at Fountain Cemetery, Starks, Louisiana
