Mrs. Laura Ellen White, seventy-three, of 343 Highland Avenue, Hickory, died in a
Morganton hospital Tuesday night following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at the home at four o'clock Thursday afternoon with
Rev. W.A. Rollins, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Hickory, officiating. Burial
will follow in Oakwood Cemetery here.
Mrs. White, a daughter of the late Tillford White is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Neta Bryant of Hickory, and Mrs. T.P. Young of Asheville; two grandsons, Walter W.
Harrison of Charlotte, and W. Perry Young, Jr., of Asheville; one great granddaughter,
Barbara Ann Harrison of Charlotte; one sister, Mrs. L.O. Sigmon of Hickory; and two
brothers, Ed White of Hickory, and Wade White of Taylorsville.
