Wesley Duane Chapman of Commerce City, a welder and bail bondsman, died Aug. 8 at Centura St. Anthony North Hospital. He was 70.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., staging area A.

He was born May 6, 1930, in Gurley, Neb. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Irwin during the Korean War.

On June 19, 1952, he married Barbara Darlene Cowell in Denver. She preceded him in death.

He had been a bail bondsman with A-Aaron Bail Bonds.

He is survived by two sons, Duane L., Denver, and Michael, Commerce City; two daughters, Jolene Martinez, Commerce City, and Paula Hammond, Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Shirley Koonse, Louisville; a brother, Blaine, Oklahoma City; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
