Delbert Leo Warner
Delbert Leo "Smidge" Warner of Boise, Idaho returned home to the loving arms of his Father in Heaven on September 22, 2018. He passed away at The Homestead assisted living facility in Rexburg, Idaho. His wife Claudia, preceded him in death by 5 ½ days.
He was born January 8, 1937 to George Wayne and Cecelia Jane Poorman Warner in Ogden, Weber County, Utah.
Del was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent all his life in faithful devotion to the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ.
He served in many callings, including Gospel Doctrine teacher, High Council, Bishop, and also a Stake Presidency. He and his wife, Claudia, also served in the Boise, Idaho Temple for many years and served several church service missions, including the Boise Bishop's Storehouse. Del was a true disciple of Christ.
He attended Ogden High School, graduating in 1954, as well as Weber State College.
Delbert is survived by a son, Brad Warner of Ogden, UT; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Karen Warner of Rigby, ID; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Mike Blickfeldt of Eden, UT; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wayne and Cecelia Jane Poorman Warner, four brothers, Keith, Jim, Robert and Ted, sister, Kathryn, two grandsons, Scott and Tyler Snowden; and a granddaughter, Heather Nicole Warner Smith.
Viewing and funeral services were held Saturday, February 22, 2018 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho, and Interment was September 24, 2018 in the Ogden City Cemetery.
