Elizabeth A. Blackburn, died at the home of Robert C. Orris in Ickesburg at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 16 days.
The deceased was born in Saville Township, Perry County, and was baptized in the chirstian faith by Rev. Kline, February 18, 1883 and confirmed in the faith of the Reformed church at Buffalo, more than fifty years ago by Rev. Charles Lienbach, in which faith she died. On December 14, 1860, she was married to Robert Blackburn by Rev. Mickley. There were no children to this union. Since the death of her late husband, who died about six years ago, she has been a confirmed invalid, being confined to her room all the time until about a year ago, when she received a paralytic storke which rendered her completely heldless and confined her to her bed all of the time, and eventually caused her death. She always took an active interest in the social and religious affaird of her community. She was a zealous and consistent church worker, and as long as she was able to walk, never missed a church serivce unless prevented by sickness. She was always ready and willing to contribute her portion to all the needs of the church and made a provision for the cintunuance of this work in her will.
She is survived by one full brother, William Orris, of Triumph, Ill. and one half brother, Robert C. Orris, of Ickersburg, besides a large number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral services were held in the Reformed church on Friday at 10 o'clock A.M. and interment in Buffalo Cemetery.
