Melissa Moore are 40, died Thursday Sept. 27, 2018 at St Joseph East Hospital in Lexington with her family by her side. She lost her battle to cancer, but won her eternal life. She was a member of the White Lick Baptist Church, she was the mother to three beautiful kids, Zachary, Austin, and Addison, she is survived by her life partner Derek Shouse, Melissa was born in Broward County, Florida, she is survived by her mother Freida Dell Gross, her sisters Cynthia L. Ford, and Carrie Garr, her brother Lee Ford as well as nieces and nephews and a great niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her father Roscoe and her grandparents on both sides.
Melissa had a love for baking, reading books, and watching cartoons, and she was a member of the JR Ward and the Blade Dagger brotherhood fan club. She was a sports fanatic and loved UK sports and watching her kids play ball.
Funeral services will be Monday Oct. 1, 2018 at 2 pm at the White Lick Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Dunn officiating, visitation will be Monday at the church from 11 am – 2pm. Burial will be in the Pilot Knob Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral costs. Lakes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
