Mrs. Eaton was an active member of Brownstown United Methodist Church. She worked as a bank teller at Peoples Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1987, and was a member of Psi Iota Xi.
Born on July 29, 1932, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Claude and Rosa Lane Shelton Allman, both of whom preceded her in death.
On February 11, 1951, in Brownstown, she married Jack Ronald Eaton and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2015.
Survivors include one son, Doug (Betty) Eaton of Seymour; one daughter, Melanie (Dennis) Wischmeier of Brownstown; eight grandchildren: Courtney (Jack) Bishop; Hilary (Frank) Conway; Ashley (David) Greenberg; Brittney (Matt) Schelich; Holly (Raphael) Silva; Kelly Schenk; Kristin (Matt) Comer; and Julie (Kyle) Warren; and 11 great-grandchildren: Keller Bishop, Connor Bishop, Parker Bishop, Collin Conway, Dylan Greenberg, Emma Greenberg, Claire Comer, Carsyn Comer, Emerson Warren, Marley Warren, and Landry Warren.
Emma was also preceded in death by one brother, Claude Allman, Jr.; and one sister, Patricia Schwein.
Funeral services for Emma L. Eaton will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Brownstown United Methodist Church with Reverend Kevin Stiles and Reverend Langlie officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at Brownstown United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Memorials may be given to Brownstown United Methodist Church Building Fund.
