Mr. Poole was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He was a member of the 419 Masonic Lodge. He loved to play his fiddle and enjoyed blue grass music.
He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Poole, Sr.; three brothers, Willard Poole, Vernon Poole and Raymond Poole; one sister, Grace Herrington; and two great-grandchildren, Lacie and Amber Poole.
He was survived by his wife of 65 years, Glennie Poole; two brothers, Truman Poole and wife Dorene, and Billy Joe Poole and wife Goldie; four sisters, Josephine Howard and husband Ted, Billie Heflin, Myrtis Wilkes and husband John, and Pat Graves and husband R.F.; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
