He was born on November 10th 1916 in Shelburne, Vt., the son of Moses and Selina (Lassor) Barnes Sr.

He married Hilda Marion Martin on January 4th 1947 in Burlington, Vermont.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II

He resided on 175 Elmwood Avenue in Burlington, Vt. and worked as a Custodian for the Bank of Vermont Business.

Interment in Mount Calvary Annex Cemetery in Burlington, Vt.
