Mr. Pipes was a member of the Fairpark Baptist Church in West Monroe. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was active in AM Vets Post 66.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mary Pipes.
He was survived by his wife, Sandie Camp Pipes; one daughter, Denice Pipes Bell and husband Mike; one son, David L. Pipes, Jr. and wife Tracy, all of West Monroe; one step-daughter, Dawn Rainey and husband Jerry of Crossett, AR; one step-son, Jimmy Tolbird of West Monroe; one brother, Marvin C. Pipes and wife Linda of West Monroe; 6 grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
