Mrs. Chambers lived in Germany for 2 years with her husband while he was serving in the United States Army before they made their home in Marietta and started raising their family. During her married life she was an active member at First Church of the Nazerene, Marietta Alliance Church and she served the last 20+ years at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church were she was active in Bible study, the prayer ministry, missions conventions, and the choir.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob Chambers; children, Bo Chambers and Dawn Chambers Hood; three grandchildren, Alex DiCaro, Rachel Hood, and Stephen Hood; siblings, Evangeline Gober, David Crowe and Marie Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
