Paul Joe Wylie, born Nov. 22, 1933, joined his loving Father May 10, 2007.
He often joked he had to order his birthday nine months in advance. Paul gave many gifts while in this world; loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loyal friend.
Paul was raised in Cochran County, Texas. Paul is survived by his wife, Janice; three daughters, Lea Anna McDonald, Jodie Wylie, Kelly Johnson; a son, Jake Wylie; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Looney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Clinton Wylie and Nona Lee Teal Wylie Eads, and a nephew, Kevan Looney.
Paul ranched throughout West Texas to later become a professional Western Artist. Paul lived the life of a true rancher's heritage, and later used his life's lessons as his media for his art.
Paul won numerous professional awards and has work in several museums and numerous private collections. He had been a member of the Texas Cowboy Artist Association and The Texas Wild Bunch until health no longer allowed him to utilize his God given talents. Paul used his art as his way to give to those in need.
The family request that in lieu of floral arrangements, donations be made to one of the following organizations that were dear to Paul's heart: American Heart Association, 2514 82nd Street Suite B, Lubbock, TX 79423, Girlstown USA and Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P O Box 1890, Amarillo 79174-0001. Paul will be loved and missed by his family and many friends.
