Murray, UT-Rex George Worthington, age 87, passed away on June 24, 2016.

He was born April 29, 1029 to George Archie Worthington, and Sylvia Draper Worthington in Nephi. Rex was the first of two children, he had a younger sister Connie. They lived in Nephi for several years before coming to Salt Lake.
Rex graduated from South high School. He joined the Marine Corps after graduation. Served in the Korean War, received the Purple Heart after being wounded.

Married Donna Mae Daw, June 6, 1953, later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Rex and Donna had two children, Randy Worthington and Pam Beckstead.
Rex worked for Kennecott Copper and the Post Office. He was a Great care giver to his wife Donna who later in life had many health issues. He was a family man who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad was always there with a helping hand, and good sense of humor.

He is survived by his son; Randy Worthington, daughter; Pam Beckstead, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Rex was preceded in death by his wife Donna, mother, father and sister Connie Swenson.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11:30 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy.
