Virginia Watts Richardson, 96, of Prosperity, widow of Claude Richardson, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

Born on April 5, 1914, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Florence Rebecca Ellisor Watts. She was a former employee of Kendall Company, Oakland Plant. She was a member of the Newberry RSVP and the Jollystreet Community Center. Mrs. Richardson was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Chat and Chew Group and was a former Sunday School teacher and choir member

She is survived by a daughter, Shelby (Rudy) Sheely of Little Mountain; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
