Bethany, MO: Richard Dean “Sarge” Stratton, 82, Bethany, MO passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home.

He was born July 13, 1936 in Culbertson, Nebraska the son of Ross and Elizabeth (Seed) Stratton.

On December 18, 1970 he married Margaret Gaskill in Independence, MO. She survives of the home.

Richard was a graduate of Princeton High School. He worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol for 33 years and retired as Sargent.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela and sister, Ruth Evelyn Stratton.

Richard is also survived by his children, Vickie, Larry, Damion, Warren, and Aaron; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his sister, Elanor (Jim) Jones.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
