Mrs. Patricia Irene Sloan, 70, of Rogersville, passed away with family at her side on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born on Nov. 27, 1946, in Jasper County, the daughter of Charles Edward and Lucille (Watkins) Buchanan. Patricia grew up and lived most of her life in the Marionville and Monett areas, and attended Aurora High School. She was united in marriage to William E. “Bill” Sloan on July 9, 2005. Patricia loved fishing, camping, and cooking for others. She also enjoyed Branson music shows, old time gospel music, and listening to Elvis Presley music. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Harter; her parents; and a brother, Charles Buchanan. Patricia is survived by her husband of 12 years, Bill; two children and their spouses, Mike and Dawn Moore, and Sandy and Tracy Shue; a step son and his wife, Kurt and Kathy Sloan; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. with the celebration of life memorial service to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Meadors Funeral Home, 101 NE Pine St. in Billings. Burial will follow the service in Mt. Olive Cemetery at McKinley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society, 3161 W.
