RUSSELL ELMER LITCHFIELD

Born in Minneapolis on September 22, 1918, Russell died at 95 on Sunday, March 9, 2014. He is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Dolores, his brother, Donald, and his parents. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Russ served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, 401st Battalion, based in London. After the service, he worked for Northwest Airlines until he retired. He was a member of Ft. Lauderdale Country Club, Lauderdale Isles Yacht Club (past Commodore), Fraternal Order of Eagles #3140, and The American Legion, Broward Memorial Post 180. He loved to sing and dance, play cards and golf, cruise, and have a good "Manhattan". He lived a good life. We will miss him.

Services by The Reverend William H. Knott, Pastor, of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, on Friday,1:00 PM at Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 S.W. 4thAvenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL . We will celebrate his life after the service.
