Clarence O. Wright Jr., 72, died September 24, 2018 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on March 24, 1946 at Topeka, the son of Clarence O. Wright, Sr. and Billie D. (Payne) Pope.
Clarence was born and raised in Topeka and was a graduate of Topeka High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After the war he continued to serve in the Army and Army National Guard for over 20 years. On May 29, 1988 he married his wife in Dodge City. Clarence was a Medical Records Technician at the Kansas Soldiers Home until his retirement in 2008.
He was a member of the Hanna Memorial Church of God in Christ of Dodge City and the Howard Burnett Post#1520, V.F.W. and Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W.
Clarence is survived by his wife, two daughters, eight grandchildren, four siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Christopher Wright and Adrian Foote, and a sister, Gayle Cay.
