Janice Lorraine Stice, 90, of Severna Park, Md., formerly of Ozark, died Jan. 10 in Chesapeake Manor, Arnold, Md. Born May 1, 1899, in Cabool, Mo., to John and Cora Patton, she attended William Woods College in Fulton for two years. In 1921, she married Audrey I. Stice and moved to St. Louis in 1923, where she lived until moving to Ozark in 1952. She was a piano teacher in both St. Louis and Ozark for more than 40 years. In 1984, she went to live with her son in Severna Park. She was a member of the National Association of Piano Teachers, the Piano Guild of St. Louis, and the Morning Etude (the association of piano teachers in St. Louis). She was a member of Ozark Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970 and a sister, Mary Barney, in 1977. She is survived by a son, Warren, of Severna Park; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services were Tuesday in Harris Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Neal Grubaugh and Capt. Kenneth Stice officiating. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery, Cabool. Memorial contributions may be made to Ozark Christian Church or to scholarship funds for high school music students at Ozark and Landmark banks.
