James Kent Walston Jr. passed away on September 25, 2018. James was born to the late James K. Walston and the late Cindy E. Irwin. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth R. Walston and Brenda W. Walston. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughters, Layla Elizabeth Walston and Madison Fletcher Walston. He is also survived by his siblings, Monica Reinhardt, Jessica Walston, Candy Herzner (nee Irwin) and Ty Walston. He was the beloved uncle to Mackenzie Reinhardt, Amanda Reinhardt, Faith Herzner, Buddy Herzner and Jordan Herzner. James was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Kathy Wiggins, Eva Irwin, Dovie Walston and his grandfather, James (Jim) Walston.
James loved working as a landscape technician and had a passion for fishing. He enjoyed playing multiple instruments, including the guitar, violin and keyboard. James also deeply cared for his girlfriend, Kari High. James lived by the words: Always Forgive and Never Forget.
Family visitation will take place from 8am to 9am on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W. Main St., Amelia, OH 45102. Public visitation will be held from 9am to 10am, with his funeral service starting at 10am, by Pastor Larry Lain. A graveside committal service will take place around 2:30pm at Snuffer Cemetery in East Bernstadt, KY.
