Freddie G. Jenkins, Sr., 78, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. He was born in Springfield, WV, on June 2, 1940, to the late Ila Swisher Shrout and Prestley Jenkins. He graduated from Romney High School in 1958. Upon graduating, entered the US Army as a cook. After serving, he was employed as a cook/chef in various restaurants bringing him to the Central PA area where he went on to own several restaurants in the Harrisburg area. He loved life and social engagements, WV College football, and most recently campaigning for Trump.

In addition to his parents, Freddie is preceded in death by his sister Dienna (Sue) Granville and grandson DJ Benner. He is survived by his loving daughters, Elizabeth Jenkins, Kimberly Hessbruegge (John), and Jennifer Ford, all of Carlisle, PA, sons Butch Jenkins, Greensboro, NC and Jonathan Jenkins (Becki) of York, PA, sisters Charlene Bradfield (Gary), Springfield, WV, Dollie Riggleman, Old Fields, WV, brothers Roger Jenkins, Kingsport, TN, Ronnie Shawen (Donna), Ridgley, WV, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday October 7, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Faith Assembly of God Church, 806 Fishing Creek Rd, New Cumberland, PA. Graveside services with family at a later date at Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney WV.
