Funeral services for Fred L. Lindsey, Sr. will be on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in (894 Natchez Drive) Brookhaven, MS at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson, MS. Bro. Billy Barnes will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.Mr. Lindsey, 81, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 24, 1937, in Kentwood, LA, to John Lamar and Elaine Brabham Lindsey. He married the love of his life, Barbara Arabie, on June 7, 1958. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Wesson, MS; worked as a carpenter for many years and retired from Crossroad Industries; and enjoyed telling stories, making people laugh, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great great-grandfather and friend.Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Nell Matherne and Pearline Williams; sister-in-law, Barbara Lindsey; and brothers-in-law, Leroy Matherne, Bob Williams and Harold Strickland.Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Barbara Arabie Lindsey; children, Robbin Lindsey Taylor and husband Pat, Diane Lindsey Jett and husband Darrell, Kirby Anthony Lindsey, Fred Lee Lindsey Jr. and girlfriend, Robin Miller, John Noah Lindsey and wife Emily, Lisa Lindsey Adams, and Mark Anthony Lindsey and wife Jan; siblings, Mary Lindsey Strickland, John Lindsey, Margie Lindsey Lascaro and husband Anthony, Lida Lindsey Coates and husband Warren, and Tommy Lindsey and wife Becky; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.Pallbearers are Danny Burgess, Raymond Arceneaux, Eric Burgess, Zachary Adams, Quinton Lindsey, Jacob Chavez, Alex Lindsey and Andrew Lindsey. Honorary pallbearer is Craig Beall.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bro.
