Albert Thomas Hill Sr. passed away unexpectedly, due to natural causes on May 5, 2007. He was born March 6, 1946, in New Brighton, to the late David William and Evelyn Noreen (Law) Hill. He graduated from New Brighton High School class of 1965, where he played basketball and football. He then served in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam receiving numerous medals.
He was employed as a foreman at Hydril Corp., then Elgers Corp. until his retirement. He continued his involvement with basketball by coaching and officiating for numerous schools even to the present coaching at the Quaker Valley School District.

Al had a love for fishing, archery, hunting and other sports that he enjoyed sharing with his son, Albie, (his best friend).

Al was affiliated with numerous organizations: Beaver Valley Archery Club, PIAA Official, AAUBB, and volunteered his time at the Sewickley YMCA coaching.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, three at birth, and Harold Hill, and five sisters, Gwendolyn, Florence, Lenora, Alberta Jean "Birdie" Hill and Margaret Love.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia D. Hill; his son, Albert Jr. "Albie"; three grandchildren, Naje', Daunte' and Kayleigh Hill; two stepsons, Mark and Brandon Raines; three brothers, David (Barbara), James Hill, and Al's twin brother, Arnold (Reba) Hill; a sister, Olivia Virginia Vuckich; five brothers-in-law, James (Candace) Morman, John, Holden (Dana), Kelvin, and Minister Melvin Raines; two sisters-in-law, Debra (Alvin) Evans and Marcella Raines; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and a host of friends; special friends, Rick Sheffield and Joe Urseda; a beloved nephew, Jai Hill, Fort Bragg, N.C., and a devoted sister-in-law, Queen Horton.

Friends will be received Saturday, May 12, 2007, in the Holy Spirit Fellowship Church, 900 7th Ave., Beaver Falls, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Avril Vreen, senior pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Albert T. Hill Memorial Fund, c/o RS-Belco Federal Credit Union, 710 3rd Ave., New Brighton, Pa. 15066.

Interment with full military honors will be Monday, May 14, 2007, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.

Services are entrusted to the SHEFFIELD ALIQUIPPA FUNERAL HOME, 920 Franklin Ave.
