Ryan James Anderson, age 33 of Mountain Home, passed away on September 13, 2018 at St Lukes in Boise. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery.

Ryan James Anderson, age 33, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, after a 7 month battle with cancer. Arrangements were under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, located at 500 No. 18th East, in Mountain Home. 208-587-0612.

Ryan was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on April 7, 1985 to Steven and Marilyn (Kruse) Anderson.

Ryan was known for working with electronics and his love of music. He was an exceptional guitar player spending hours at a local music center. Ryan liked watching cartoons and especially Scooby-Doo. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and had a great passion for hockey. He was a light to all he met.

Ryan is survived by his mother Marilyn Anderson of Farmington, Utah, father Steven Anderson of Bountiful, Utah, brothers Michael Anderson of Warsaw, Indiana and Wesley Anderson of Woods Cross, Utah, sister Christine Spencer of Kaysville, Utah, his nephews Chandler and Jayden, niece Macie, his girlfriend Shantel and her two kids Kami and Gage, and his best friend Christopher Mead.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents Ted and Sarah “Sally” Kruse and grandfather Gilmer Anderson.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and nurses at the Misti center and St. Luke’s hospital for the wonderful care given to Ryan and all of his friends and family that stood by him! And they are very thankful for the Idaho Steelheads. Memorials can be made in Ryan’s name to the Jr. Idaho Steelheads at 233 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702.
