Services for Wanda Joy McKinney, 86, of Kilgore will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dudley Plaisance officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. McKinney died Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in Kilgore.

She was born October 6, 1931, in Richland, Texas, to Orville and Hazel Renshaw. Her family moved to Kilgore when Wanda was a child. She was a 1950 graduate of Kilgore High School. Wanda attended Kilgore College where she was a Rangerette. She married Frank E. “Jitter” McKinney July 5, 1951. Mrs. McKinney earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. Wanda taught bookkeeping and typing at Kilgore High School until her retirement in 1988. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, reading, working crossword puzzles and gardening.

Wanda is survived by three daughters, Candace McKinney of Kilgore, Leigh Ann Engh and her husband, Vike of Newburgh, Indiana, Sally Curbo and her husband, Kevin of Henderson; six grandchildren, William Knowles and his wife, Crystal of New Diana, Kaitlyn Scott of Austin, Kayce Knowles of Kilgore, Maggie Engh of Evansville, Indiana, Collin Curbo of Dallas, Ryan Curbo of Henderson; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Foster, Charley Burris, Sawyer Burris; her sister-in-law, Betty Renshaw of Winnsboro formerly of Kilgore; nephews, Randy Renshaw, Gary Renshaw, Mike McKinney, Glen McKinney, Allen McKinney; nieces, Cindy Renshaw, Karen Renshaw, Sharon McKinney Mason and Jo Anne Musick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, James E. Renshaw, her granddaughter, Sarah Jordan Scott, and her son-in-law, Jeff P. Scott.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday evening between
5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
