Ruby B. Ward, 93, of West Augusta, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Augusta Nursing & Rehabilitation in Fishersville.
Ruby was born on September 5, 1925, a daughter of the late Cora (Grimm) and Robert Bowen.
She was a member of Deerfield Church of God.
On Dec. 26, 1961, she was united in marriage to Charles Ward, who preceded her in death.
Ruby is survived by a daughter, Ruth Hensley of West Augusta; sisters, Anna Hyden and Rosie Tidd both of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Allen Hensley and wife, Kathi, and Angie Colvin; great-grandchildren, Michelle Peters and husband, Jacob, Zane Colvin, and Landon Hensley; great-great-grandchildren, Ali Clatterbaugh and Isaac Peters; great-great-great-grandson, Westyn Wimer.
She is also preceded in death by siblings, Robert Bowen, Earl Bowen, Dorothy Frazier, and Violet Frazier.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Grottoes Church of God, with Pastor Merle Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Crimora.
