Marguerite O'Dell was born February 5, 1917 in Magnolia Township, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm near Magnolia and attended Magnolia grade school and high school. She worked on the family farm.
She married Leal Arbaugh on March 20, 1934 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They raised their family on their farm near Magnolia. After Leal quit farming, they moved to Logan, Iowa, and finally to Valley, Nebraska. She worked with her husband on the farm, in addition to raising her family. In later years, she worked as a nurse's aide and a charge nurse.
She was active in Waterloo Church of Christ at Waterloo, Nebraska.
She died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Valhaven Nursing Home in Valley.
The funeral for Marguerite T. (O'Dell) Arbaugh, 86, of Valley will be 1 pm Saturday at Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn.
The Rev. Stephen Stolle will officiate Saturday's service. Visitation will be from noon to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 pm.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn.
Survivors include: 1 son, Dennis; 2 daughters; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
