James R. "Jim" Wingfield IV, age 55, of Munster, IN, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly, who made him very happy during their 27 years of marriage; mother, Constance Wingfield; father, James R. (Sue) Wingfield III; one brother, John C. (Nancy) Wingfield; niece, Amy; nephew, Johnathan; and sister-in-law, Mary (Norm) Nellemann. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene Wingfield; and in-laws: Frank and Ella Thomas. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 12:00 noon from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Scott Johnson officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Jim was a lifetime resident of this area. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era, worked at the steel mill for over 30 years, was a member of United Steel Workers Local #1010, ABATE, and loved cars and motorcycles.
