RICKY'S OBITUARY
Ricky Lynn Rogers passed away early Monday morning, September 24th, 2018 surrounded by his beloved family at the age of 59. Ricky was born in Carthage, Texas on January 20, 1959 to T.E. and Kay Rogers.

Ricky will be remembered for his extraordinary fishing talents and his love for the outdoors. Ricky split his time between building his successful family business, the great outdoors, and watching his beloved Texas Longhorns with family. Ricky was a member of the Waskom Bass Club and Fishermen Tournament trail. Ricky was a member of the Elysian Fields class of 1977 and a lifelong supporter of all things Jacket Nation. He was a faithful member of New Hebron Baptist Church. Ricky was a member of the Local 141 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union working for Fitzgerald’s Contractors as an HVAC Technician/Supervisor until April 2005. In April 2005, Ricky started his own heating and air conditioning business, which has grown exponentially and will be continued on by his son Brad. He realized his dream to give his children the opportunity to lead better lives and careers in 2011 and 2014, when his children graduated from the University of Texas. Ricky’s faith was evident in his work, his actions towards other, and his love for everyone he met, as he never met a stranger. His legacy will also continue on through all the young men he employed and mentored.

Ricky is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie, of 36 years, son, Bradley, wife Emily and grandson Campbell, daughter, Brittany and husband, Rob Dukes, all from Elysian Fields. He is also survived by his father T.E Rogers of DeBerry, Tx, mother Kay Crouch of Panola, Tx, and Step-father Marvin Crouch, brothers Eugene (wife, Janet), Ronnie (wife, Debbie), Tim, Freddie (wife, Jennifer), sisters Linda Lawless (husband, Rickey), Susan Faulk (husband, Mike), and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with many friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Rogers will be held at 10:00a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at New Hebron Baptist Church with Bro. Peter Allen officiating. Interment will be held at Elysian Fields Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at New Hebron Baptist Church.
