Ruth Bowman, age 76, of Florence, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018. Ruth was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Ervie and Dorsie Begley, and grew up in Beattyville, Kentucky. Ruth is also preceded in death by her daughter, Detrea Godby. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Albert Bowman; daughter, Shannan (Eddie) Wessel; sister, Janice Rudy; beloved grandchildren, Emily (Austin) Manning, Sarah (Ricky) Wilson, Kaitlin Wessel, and Lauren Wessel; and great granddaughter, Elliana Wilson. Ruth worked many years for the IRS as an Account Specialist. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 11am until the time of service at 1 pm at STITH FUNERAL HOME 7500 US HWY 42 FLORENCE, KY 41042. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger. Memorial donations can be made in Ruth's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
