Raymond J. George beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away at The Villages Regional hospital after a short illness at the age of 87 years young.

His body may have been old, but his soul and disposition were young at heart. Ray and his wife Joan had a full life together. Building a family and a business side by side. Ray made friends where ever he went. He never met a stranger. He loved to talk to people and he had a wonderful train collection.

Ray was raised on a farm and attended Princeton school until his senior year. He graduated from New Castle Senior high school, then worked with his brother Bob for years hauling milk. He went into the Army and served his country.

Returning home to New Castle, he met the love of his life Joan Kuhn and married her in 1957. Ray and Joan were married for 60 years, just shy of 61 this November. They had two daughters Janet Lynn George and Barb George Novad. Ray loved a good joke and laughed with everyone.

Ray went into trucking for a living until the opportunity came available for him to purchase his father in-law, Norm Kuhn‘s, garage and bus company. They created George Ku Inc., which grew to a corporation of 3 offices, Warren Ohio, New Castle (a travel office only) and the original Mt Jackson office. He was very involved in his community and served on several board of directors. He was an active member of the North Beaver Fire Dept for many years, he was a Rotarian in Bessemer, PA and they were members of the Bethel UP Church.

The couple moved to Florida in 1997 after selling their business and became involved with organization such as The Republican party in which he was the president for a couple of years. He was an active member at North Lake Presbyterian church. He loved to play golf and have fellowship with the many friends that he acquired.
