Marla Elizabeth (Shelton) Gardner, born May 25, 1973, courageously went before her family through Heaven's gates on September 21, 2018.
The most beautiful wife and mother, she entered the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ momentarily leaving behind her soulmate and the love of her life on this Earth, Dallas M. Gardner, her husband of 22 years. Marla is also survived by four amazing sons; Jordan, Andrew, Jacob, and Dallas Aron who were "her world"; her daughter- in- law Lindsey Gardner ; a grandson Oliver Jace Gardner; her wonderful mother and step-father, Mary and Dean Miller; her best friend and sister, Misty Jane Sybrant and her husband, Greg; her brother, Marlin Shelton; three nieces and a nephew who she thought of like her own, Ashley Morgan, Alyssa Dyer, Sarah Sybrant and Joshua Sybrant; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marlin E. Shelton and her special father-in-law, William D. Gardner.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 pm Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The funeral services will follow at 8 pm in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home with Pastor Dale (Tootie) Wright officiating. Interment will be 1 pm Saturday at West Greene Cemetery.
