Joe Glen Montgomery, 88, of Amarillo died Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers.

Joe was born February 19, 1930, in Sayre, OK to Sam and Bessie Montgomery. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joe worked for many years as a Ticket Agent at Continental Trailways.

He is preceded in death by his dear wife, Dorothy; his parents; and 2 brothers, Jim and Wayne.

Joe is survived by his very best friends and grandsons, Brandon Ammons and Rick Mendoza; daughters, Madelene Chavez and husband, Art, Sherrie Jacobson and husband Nick, and Trisha Golden; grandchildren, Sarah Weathers and husband, Ricky, Chelsea Dahl, Haley Dahl and Tyler Jacobson; 4 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Travis, Kanton and Tripp; and many nephews, extended family and friends.
