MAE FRANCES BOOTH HART
1926-2007

Mae Frances Hart, age 80, a native of Cottondale, Alabama, and a resident of Barrineau Park for 43 years died on Sunday, May 6, 2007.

She was retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 35 years of service. She was the former owner, operator of The Country Goose Gift Shop.

Mae was a very strong-minded person, a hard worker and could achieve anything she set her mind to do especially when it came to her children and grandchildren. She made each feel as though they were her favorite. Mae would make each holiday a homecoming for her family with her great cooking and her famous decorating. Even in her femininity, she had many unusual talents, which ranged from doing automotive work, remodeling her home, working on an appliance, doing woodwork, or one of her more feminine talents of crafting, painting and sewing. She was indeed very resourceful and artistic, which is just a couple of the attributes she passed to her children. She never wanted anyone to go hungry, was compassionate for her fellowman, and loved her country greatly. She displayed her red, white, and blue proudly. She was respected and loved by many and will be greatly missed by her family especially by the love of her life Roger. She took care of him like no other, and in her last months, he took care of her - the love of his life.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Mac and Lillie Mae Booth; stepfather, Carter Herbert; brother, James; and daughter, Frances Lorraine Hart.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years (May 9), Roger Edwin Hart; daughters, Elizabeth (Bill) Wilson, Eddie Mae (Bobby) Mason; sons, Roger Glenn (Patsy) Hart, and Grady Hart; grandchildren, Rob Mason, Greg Mason, Tammy Duncan, Ben Wilson, B J Irby, James Hart, Bryan Hart, and the light of her life, Jasemine; great-grandchildren, Travis Duncan, Kayla Duncan, Austin Mason, Ashley Williamson, Oliver Ard, Kylie Mason, Tori Perkins, Rachael Irby, Leigha Wilson, Gage Wilson, Amber Irby; siblings, Mary Alice Fulgham, Marvin Booth, Maxine Perkins, Doris Stevens, and Henry Herbert.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., at Faith Chapel Home North-Cantonment with burial at Pugh's Chapel Cemetery in Barrineau Park / Molino, Florida.
