Greg was a retired boilermaker for Local Union 667 in Winfield, WV. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, and watching western movies. Greg was a methodist by faith.
He is survived by his mother; two sons, Brian (Amy) Griffin and their daughters, Lydia and Alexa of Woodsfield, OH and Markus Griffin of Marietta; two brothers, Dave (Joanna) Griffin and Daryl (Bev) Griffin, both of Whipple; one sister, Darla Cox of Lower Salem and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Charlie and Goldie Curtis, Mac and Bessie Griffin; a niece, Jody Griffin and a great-nephew, Brock Griffin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with Erin and Gardner Curtis officiating. Burial to follow in Salem Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department, 39 Mills Firehouse Ln, Lower Salem, OH 45745.
