James Herman Capps, 47, 106 N. Second St., Eagle Lake, died last night in the Winter Haven Hospital following a brief illness.
Capps was a native of Homerville, Ga., and moved to Eloise from Lake City, Fla., in 1950. A citrus worker, he was a member of the Methodist church in Homerville and a veteran of World War II. He was also a member fo the American Legion and V.F.W. in Lake City.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alma Jean Capps, Eloise; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Capps Sr., Homerville; three brothers, A. C. Capps Jr., also of Homerville, Stanley Capps, Argyle, Ga., and Milton Capps of Columbia, S.C.; and one sister, Mrs. J. D. Hicks, Gomer, Ga.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Crisp's Funeral Home
