Funeral services were held at the Pilgrim Holiness church in this city Tuesday morning for Mrs. Susie Sims Edwards, 81, resident here for many years, who died at her home on East Seventh street Sunday, September 13, The Rev. A.L. Keyes conducted the service and burial was in Madie Cemetery at Ridgely, Tenn.
Mrs. Edward, widow of the late George Edwards, was born in Humphrey's county, Tenn., on June 6, 1872, the daughter of George and Barbara Allen Buchanan.
She is survived by three sons, Henry and Cecil Edwards of Ridgely,, Tenn. and Gayther Edwards of St. Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Anne Johnson of Caruthersville; and two brothers John and Elbert Buchanan of Dyersburg, Tenn.

She was first married to Benjamin Franklin Sims and seven sons and two daughters were born to them, some of whom preceded her in death. Later she married George Edwards, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie Johnson and Mrs. Bessie Cottrell, both of Caruthersville; two sons, Henry Sims and Cecil Sims of Ridgely, Tenn.; a step-son, Gaither Edwards of St. Louis; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also a host of friends.
