He was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Oshkosh, the son of Emil and Lucy Schreiber Hoeft.
Mr. Hoeft had been employed as a chef at the Fox Restaurant for a short time.
Surviving are two sons, Randy and Brian, both of Oshkosh; four brothers, Burton and James, both of Oshkosh, Richard, Sun Prairie, and William, Livonia, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Marilyn) Rose and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Albrecht, both of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Carlton (Marjorie) Schmidt, Brown Deer.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, the Rev. Ronald Meier officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
