Barry Eugene Fowler, age 82 of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 20, 1936 in Union County, the son of John Theodore and Gracie Muriel (Newman) Fowler. He married Judy Sadler on April 4, 1970 in Jonesboro.
Barry is survived by his loving wife, Judy Fowler; daughter, Lori Williams (Collin Crews); three grandchildren, Jade (Josh) Murray, Morgan (Austin) Caldwell and Gabe Williams; two great grandsons, Matthew Murray, Lane Murray and one great granddaughter on the way, Vivian Caldwell; nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rosalind Lucille Walker.
Barry served his country in the United States Marines. He loved playing the guitar and singing. He was always a happy and jolly person who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He worked for Lewis Bakeries for over twenty years in maintenance.
Funeral services for Barry Eugene Fowler will be at 12 noon on Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. John Cripps officiating. Interment will be in the St. Johns Cemetery in Dongola. Military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW of Anna and the United States Marine Corps Funeral Honors. Friends may call after 10 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
