Ardie Wilson Keen, 88, of the Rocky Mound community in Tennessee, died March 9, 2004 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.

He was a farmer and a member of the Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church.

Born in Macon County, he was a son of the late Wesley and Sarah (Woodard) Keen and the husband of Velma Mae (King) Keen, who survives. They were married in 1935.

Other than his wife, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Dorothy Keen, of West Virginia; a son-in-law, Don Curtis, Westmoreland, Tenn.; four grandchildren — Pamela Driver (and her husband, Jesse), Gaithersburg, Md.; Elaine Fusco (and her husband, Mark), Merritt Island, Fla.; Shannon Thomas (and her husband, Richard), Horner, W.V.; and Marty Curtis (and his wife Debbie), Westmoreland; and eight great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Patsy Curtis; six sisters, Clydie Pratt, Ava Trammel, Ida and Bessie Keen, Ettie Likens, and Clara McGuffee; and six brothers, Jimmy, Jesse, Marvin, Garland, John and Harvey Milton Keen, all preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on March 11 at the Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church, with Elder Hilman Duncan officiating. Burial was at the Rocky Mound Cemetery.
