Precious son and brother, Michael Bartlett, 56, passed away September 19, 2018 at Spohn Shoreline Hospital after a brief illness. Michael was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 28, 1961 to Orville “Gene” and Lanora Bartlett.

Michael lived a wonderful and fulfilling life at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center, where he was a dear friend to all. During his life he brought love to the hearts of everyone he met through his smiles, hugs & handshakes. He was a son, brother, nephew and uncle that anyone would be proud of. 

He loved driving the beach buggies in Port Aransas, feeding and riding horses at the Glenoak Therapeutic Riding Center, visiting with firefighters and police officers and touring the USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier. Michael’s family would like to recognize and thank everyone that made it possible for him to enjoy many pleasures in life.

Michael had a strong and loving connection to his family. He thrived on being with people and had a tremendous passion for animals. He loved driving and had an extraordinary sense of humor that brought a smile to everyone’s face. 

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Lanora Solomon Rogers and his step-mother, Ola Mae Bartlett.

Michael is survived by his father Gene Bartlett of Texas, sister Jeanne & George LaMar of Utah, brother Gary & Donna Bartlett of Texas, sister Claudia Bartlett of Connecticut, niece DeAnna & Patrick Savage of South Carolina, nephew Matthew & Beth Marsh of South Carolina, nephew Brian Foley of Massachusetts, step-sisters Debbie Rains of California, Diana King of Texas and Lory Sweeley of Oklahoma. 

A Graveside Service will be held at Corpus Christi Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.

Donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center: 902 Airport Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405.
